Lulu’s is a modern Chinatown cabaret salon inspired by the gilded glamour of 1940s Shanghai, bringing together Cantonese culinary rituals, theatrical performance, late-night energy and a cocktail programme built around Chinese ingredients, classic foundations and a more mature sense of revelry.

Studio Ryecroft was engaged to help shape Lulu’s next chapter: a more mature Chinatown cabaret salon where performance, cocktails, Cantonese flavour and late-night atmosphere work as one complete experience.
The work focused on translating Lulu’s 1940s Shanghai attitude into a sharper modern Singapore expression, with a drinks programme and guest journey built around classic foundations, Chinese ingredients, theatrical service details and a more intentional sense of glamour.
From the glass in hand to the way the menu reads, the work was designed to make Lulu’s feel culturally layered, seductive and alive, without becoming pastiche or losing the electricity of the original brand.
